Our Impact in Action: A Look at Past Initiatives
More than just a hockey supporters' club, the SJ Battery Pack is a community force. The passion you bring to Section 108 fuels our commitment to making a difference beyond the glass. Here, we celebrate our collective power to support the San Jose and greater Bay Area community that has given us so much.
Through targeted initiatives, volunteer efforts, and fan-driven fundraising, we are proving that Teal Bites Back in the most positive ways.
🏒 Pink in the Rink for a Cause
For a special 'Pink in the Rink' game, we designed, customized, and heat-pressed limited-edition t-shirts. Thanks to our amazing fans, we raised nearly $300, with the majority of proceeds donated directly to the Asian American Cancer Society.
🦃 Second Harvest Food Bank Drive
During the season of giving, we rallied the Teal Family to fight hunger. Through donations of non-perishable food and monetary contributions, we provided the equivalent of 250 meals for families in need across our community. This year, from November 1st to December 15th, we're aiming to smash that goal!
🧔 Movember: Growing Awareness for Men's Health
We joined the global Movember movement to spark conversations and raise critical funds for men's health, focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. In partnership with our professional hockey league, we amplified awareness and contributed to the cause through fundraising and fitness challenges.
🌈 Unity in Pride: Supporting the Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Community Center
In a powerful display of cross sport solidarity, we teamed up with supporters from the San Jose Earthquakes, Bay FC, San Jose Sharks, and San Jose Barracuda. Together, we raised over $5,000 for the Billy DeFrank Center and created commemorative jerseys for our contributors, celebrating love, acceptance, and community.
❤️ Street Level Support: Food & Sanitation Kits
Partnering with the San Jose Earthquakes' Fault Liners, we assembled hundreds of essential food and sanitation kits in the arena parking lot. We then distributed them directly to those in need at St. James Park in San Jose, providing immediate, hands-on support.
🎊 Silicon Valley Pride Parade
For the past five years, we have been honored to march alongside Sharks Entertainment, players, and fans in the Silicon Valley Pride Parade. We walk to send a clear, unwavering message: Hockey Is For Everyone, and our support doesn't end at the rink doors.

- Regular Creek Clean Ups to preserve the beauty of San Jose and Santa Clara's waterways.
