Pink In The Rink
The return of hockey also means the return of many fan-favorite theme nights, such as Cuda Country Night, Pucks n' Paws, and Hockey is for Everyone. While the Battery Pack aims to bring spirit to every game of the year, we especially love to take part in the special nights that bring the San Jose hockey fanbase closer together. Whether it's passing out stick-on mustaches for No Shave November, or collecting hundreds of stuffed animals for the Teddy Bear Toss, our members are always finding ways to have fun and get involved.
The San Jose Battery Pack also organized several fundraisers throughout the season, including one especially meaningful project that benefited the Asian American Cancer Support Network. Leading up to the Pink in the Rink game, which supports and celebrates those who have battled cancer, SJBP raised over $200 by selling personalized T-shirts. These bright pink shirts read "I Fight For Everyone" or could be personalized with the name of a loved one who's fought cancer. Not only was this project a successful fundraiser, but it also gave us the opportunity to support some of our closest friends--an opportunity we'll never take for granted.
